Finding our place at the table: A <scp>more‐than‐human</scp> family reunion

Indigenous worlds are and always have been sites of more-than-human (MTH) agency relationship, despite their largely marginalised status within geographic scholarship to date. The return cosmologically-informed earth-oriented Lifeworlds holds transformative power for mobilising collective action toward life-affirming MTH futures all. In this commentary, we, as two PhD students (Alice, Naxi Chinese Georgia, Te Whakatōhea Māori), draw on our respective ancestral instructions kinship suggest that engaging in geographies is less a ‘discovery’ new epistemologies more akin praxis ‘recovery’, similar showing up family reunion. Thinking-with the metaphor reunion, we contend planetary futurity contingent futurity, epistemic freedom justice.
